Yeah, it's much easier and more flexible for you to leave the SCART end as it is and to get the loose wire end up to your VGA connector differently. Of course, you will need to which you can solder the wires to the new pinout you have there. Make sure it's the correct orientation because you are soldering from the other side.Or, if you don't want to solder and just want to be lazy and/or test, but I recommend the soldering because well that's just me and my idea of a permanent cable.If you are not in the US, you can look for comparable parts from your region. After looking at the manual I'm 99% certain that pinout is wrong. Note that the image of the connector is a DE15 while the pinout on the right only has 9 pins.
The pinout is definitely for a DB9 connector.Is your monitor definitely one of the VGA capable POLOs - see manual page 8. What kind of connector is on your monitor? If its definitely a DE15 then I'm pretty sure the connector is VGA standard pinout. If you would prefer to use the regular video-in connector use the six pin mini connector seen in the manual on page 10.
So, I replaced the Wei-Ya tri-sync monitor on my NNC with this Hantarex Polo Star. No the brightest idea maybe but I've got it for cheap so I gave it a try.First issue: the monitor itself needs 220. Not a big deal I think, it just needs to get plugged directly into the wall.The second and most visible, this is what I've got once I've powered it up:The image is moved on the right and I've got some darker stripes over it. I've obviously played with the settings on the chassis but nothing changed.
